But sometimes it\u2019s not that easy. Perhaps you\u2019re carrying heavy shopping bags, pushing a pram or have an injured leg. Even if you have a visual impairment or use a wheelchair or a mobility scooter, getting about can be more difficult.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">To make travelling by bus as easy as possible, accessible bus stops and suitable buses are important. For example, the bus should not have any steps and the doors must be wide enough. Unfortunately, not all bus stops and buses are fully accessible yet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">We therefore recommend that you check before you set off. This will allow you to check whether your starting point and destination are accessible and whether there is a suitable bus service on your route.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Staying safe on the road with your electric mobility scooter<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">We organised a workshop to enable our drivers to provide better support to passengers using electric mobility scooters. The workshop was led by Patrik Werner, Managing Director of the medical supplies shop Werner und Habermalz in Goslar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The workshop addressed these questions, amongst others:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Which mobility scooters are allowed on buses?<\/li>\n<li>How do you get on the bus safely?<\/li>\n<li>Where should an electric scooter be parked on the bus?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>An electric vehicle must meet the following requirements<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Uniform rules have been in force across the country since 2017. Your electric scooter may be taken on a bus if it meets the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>It has four wheels.<\/li>\n<li>It has at least one parking brake.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum total weight, including the driver, is 300 kilograms.<\/li>\n<li>It is no more than 120 centimetres long.<\/li>\n<li>You can drive onto the bus in reverse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You can recognise suitable electric mobility scooters by a special seal. It features a wheelchair and a bus inside a divided circle.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>How to get on the bus properly<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">If you\u2019re travelling by electric mobility scooter, reverse into the bus. Once inside the bus, park the scooter facing away from the direction of travel in the designated area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">If this space is already occupied by a rollator or a pushchair and there is no longer enough space, the following applies: whoever arrives first may use the space.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The decision is made by the driving crew<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">During the workshop, various electric vehicles were presented. The session explained the key points to bear in mind when transporting them safely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">There are as yet no definitive guidelines covering all the technical details. Transport operators may therefore impose additional requirements. Ultimately, it is up to the driver to decide whether an electric mobility scooter can be carried safely.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Our tip<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">If you are travelling in a wheelchair or on a mobility scooter, it is best to book your journey in advance by telephone with our service centre in Goslar. That way, we can arrange for an accessible bus for you where possible. So kannst du pr\u00fcfen, ob Ddine Start- und Zielhaltestelle barrierefrei sind und ob auf deiner Strecke ein geeigneter Bus f\u00e4hrt. &nbsp; Sicher unterwegs mit dem Elektromobil Damit unser Fahrpersonal Fahrg\u00e4ste mit einem Elektromobil besser unterst\u00fctzen kann, haben wir einen Workshop durchgef\u00fchrt. Geleitet wurde dieser von Patrik Werner, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer des Sanit\u00e4tshauses Werner und Habermalz in Goslar. Im Workshop ging es unter anderem um diese Fragen: Welche Elektromobile d\u00fcrfen im Bus mitfahren? Wie f\u00e4hrst du sicher in den Bus? Wo wird das Elektromobil im Bus richtig abgestellt? &nbsp; Diese Voraussetzungen muss ein Elektromobil erf\u00fcllen Seit 2017 gelten bundesweit einheitliche Regeln. Dein Elektromobil darf im Bus mitfahren, wenn es folgende Voraussetzungen erf\u00fcllt: Es hat vier R\u00e4der. Es hat mindestens eine Feststellbremse. Das Gesamtgewicht mit Fahrer oder Fahrerin betr\u00e4gt h\u00f6chstens 300 Kilogramm. Es ist h\u00f6chstens 120 Zentimeter lang. Du kannst r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts in den Bus einfahren. Geeignete Elektromobile erkennst du an einem besonderen Siegel. Darauf sind ein Rollstuhl und ein Bus in einem geteilten Kreis zu sehen. &nbsp; So f\u00e4hrst du richtig in den Bus Wenn du mit einem Elektromobil unterwegs bist, f\u00e4hrst du r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts in den Bus. Im Bus stellst du das Fahrzeug entgegen der Fahrtrichtung auf der daf\u00fcr vorgesehenen Fl\u00e4che ab. Ist dieser Platz bereits durch einen Rollator oder einen Kinderwagen belegt und reicht der Platz nicht mehr aus, gilt: Wer zuerst da ist, darf den Platz nutzen. &nbsp; Die Entscheidung trifft das Fahrpersonal Im Workshop wurden verschiedene Elektromobile vorgestellt. Dabei wurde erkl\u00e4rt, worauf es bei der sicheren Mitnahme ankommt. Es gibt bisher keine endg\u00fcltigen Vorgaben f\u00fcr alle technischen Details. Deshalb k\u00f6nnen Verkehrsunternehmen zus\u00e4tzliche Anforderungen stellen.
